This new workshop (In English and German) is intended for two kinds of participants: i) folk musicians with little training in music theory who want to learn the essentials, ii) classically-trained musicians who may have a lot of music theory training and want to learn how to apply it to playing folk music. We will cover basic music theory of melody, harmony, rhythm, and form, always with the focus on its practical use in hearing and making folk music.
