Kurt
Bjorling is known for his mastery of klezmer music
history and style, his fine teaching, and his knowledge
of instrumental technique on all instruments of a
klezmer ensemble. Indeed, not a few violinists and
cimbalists as well as clarinetists learned the nuances
of klezmer music from him. This workshop will be an
intensive, focused study of klezmer repertoire and style
with Kurt, aimed at an intermediate level, but
experienced and advanced klezmer musicians will also
find it very valuable.
